There are two strands of actions that will contribute to the success of any owner-operator business such as ours and that is we are either working in or working on our business.

Working in our business is often a daily necessity that is often just a matter of opening the doors and starting your day and then reacting to whatever challenges or routines occur for that day.

Whereas working on your business is more of a deliberate decision whereby you have to put time aside that removes you from the constant interruptions and demands that are part and parcel of our day-to-day operations.

Making a conscious decision to focus on the many different components of your business in a meaningful way could be a game changer that keeps your brand relevant in a crowded marketplace.

One eureka moment or just a few smart tweaks can make a difference to the trajectory of a business and can add to profitability and longevity.

What does working on on your business look like?

There are many ways to do this such as chatting to colleagues, reading up on trends and so on.  However, at RA we have seen a demand from members who have a real desire to learn new skills in a more deliberate setting that can assist them in running a successful business.

This is why RA have developed Ignite Hospo 2024 an event that is designed to connect attendees with other owners and operators.

With only a short section of passive listening sessions, that include the amazing Key Note Speaker from the World’s 50 Best Restaurant’s Judging panel, the core of the days is based around intimate, interactive workshops that will provide practical, tangible tools for businesses to thrive.

While we can all make excuses to put off making the commitment to attend Ignite Hospo 2024 for a variety of reasons, I would encourage you to invest in this professional development as you and your business deserve it.
